Regain Hair : Post Natal ( 1 of 2 )

Post natal hair fall generally starts 3-4 months after a woman gives birth and typically stops within a year. Sadly, some woman continue suffering and without seeking for proper treatment, the thinning may become a permanent issue. The main causes for this issue is hormonal changes new mums go through. During pregnancy, hair is usually at its best state due to high level of estrogens. However, after childbirth, it returns to its pre-pregnancy level and the stimulus for active growth is withdrawn.

This causes the follicles to enter the resting stage and fall out. Apart from hormonal changes, giving birth is a stressful event, especially for first-time mothers. Sleep deprivation, emotional stress and trauma directly affected the growth. Lack of proper nutrition also contributes to post natal issue. Though common, my opinion is that post natal issue should never be ignored lightly.
